Split A/C modules
A/C modules are available in split technology with remote external
partsup to 44kW and for cold water operation (chiller) up to 29kW.
The air conditioning module is installed in a housing,
which is mounted directly on a server rack.
The correct dimensioning is one of the prerequisites for trouble-free
and efficient operation.

External parts of the split A/C modules
Regular maintenance of the A/C modules including the
outdoor parts is a prerequisite for fail-safe operation.
Functionality of the split air-conditioning modules
The fans move the cold air to the front of the servers via a
heat exchanger. At the rear side the warm air is sucked out
and led through the A/C module again.
This creates an air circulation system directly in the server rack.
A room cooling system is not necessary. An outdoor unit, which
is connected to the split air-conditioning module by refrigerant
pipes, brings the heat from the servers outside.

The correct dimensioning of cooling capacities is a strategic
decision that must be made with an eye to the future.
